VisheshThis Kshetra is at a altitude of 10,400 ft from mean sea level. Lord Narayana gave TirumMantra Upadesa (Ashakshara Mantra) to Nara in this Kshetra. The temple is on the banks of Alaknanda river. Near the temple is the Taptakunda (hot water Spring). Naranarayana and Neelakanata Parvatams, can be seen from here. The Lord gives Darshan with Thayar(Lakshmi), Garuda, Narada, Udhav Maharishi, Kubera, Nara Narayana. The Moolamoorthy is Salagrama Moorthy. The Lord has taken the place under the Badri Vriksha, the favorite of Mahalakshmi. The Lord gives darshan as Jadaroopi, with Chathurbuja with the lower hands in Yoga Mudra sitting in Padmasana posture. On the rear side, is a temple for Lakshminrisimha. Near the temple is Brahamakapalam where pitrupinda is offered. The temple is closed for 6 months from mid october to April due to heavy snowfall.
