Vishesh	Tirumangai Azhwar with his consort kumudavalli visits all the 11 temples in a palanquin crossing over the fields on the day following Thai (Jan-Feb) Amavasya. Subsequently Garuda seva of all temples converge outside the Narayana Temple during which time Azhwar will present the Garlands (Maryada) to Lords. It is believed that the crops grow better as the Azhwar stamps his feet over the crops during the above festival. The Idol of Tirukkoshtiyur Nambi is installed in the Temple.

Established in 2008, Jananyacharya Indological Research (JIR) Foundation focuses on advanced study and academic research in Yoga sastra, Ayurveda, and Vedantha, named after the 13th-century Saint Jananyacharya from Melkote, Karnataka.
