Vishesh This is one of seven Mukti Kshetras. To protect people from jarasanda, Lord Krishna requested Samudrarajan for space and created Dwaraka through Visvakarma. The place is called Dwaraka as this is the gate for Moksha. Pet Dwaraka(island) is the place where Krishna’s palace was situated. Lord gives darshan here as Dwarakanathji with Lakshmi adorning the Lords Chest. There is separate temple for Rukmini about 4 kms on way to Okha where Krishna married Rukmini. Lord Krishna’s final resting place of a banyan tree can be seen at Palaka.
Route About 2 kms from dwaraka station on the Ahmedabad – Rajkot – Jamnagar – Okha and about 20 kms from Okha port.
