Uthsava Murthy is seen receiving Kanyakadhan. The Kshetram is also called Srimad Ashaksha Kshetram as the Lord is omnipresent in each Akshara(letter). The Lord is having Prayoga Chakra as He destroys Veekadakshan and protects the Maharishis. The Lord displays the Kesa ( hair growth at His Tirumudi) to the King by honoring the words of the Archa and hence called Sourirajan. It is customary to offer Pongal at midnight called Muniyodara pongal to fulfill the wishes of the great devotee Mundarayar.
