Vishesh It is called Sapthamrutha Kshetram, as all important cahracteristics for a temple like Vimanam, Mandamapm, Forest (Aranyam), Sarasoo, Kshetra, River and Town are found at this place. A night’s stay is believed to confer Moksha. The idol of vaikuntanathan and vishnu on the Garuda are beauty personified. This place is also called “LaksmiVanam” as Lakshmi performed Tapas. Lord Shiva is guarding this temple on all four sides taking four different forms. This is the avatharasthala of Tirukannamangaiandaan, a disciple of Nadamuni. In the Thayar Sannidhi a pooja for Beehive takes place. (Thenkoodu Pooja).
